Some ideas:
I think we should have a delegate/ spokesperson and a backup from each clan. These people would be a committee and would decide which server will be visited each week.
Is Tuesday going to work for us? Tactical Tuesday was a term we used in mohaa. Has a nice ring to it. How about Saturday. Would that be a better day?
Clans must be active and visit other servers to keep there server as a place that would be targeted for a visit from the community.
I think the visits should be focused on modded servers, not ranked servers. From what I see the ranked tactical servers are getting good traffic.
Just some ideas.....

I like the name Tactical Tuesday!! Saturdays would be ok too.
I like the "Clans must be active and visit other servers" part also.
For sure limited to modded servers!
The only thing that I have a little hesitation is having a delegate from each clan. Reason: I've been involved in this model a couple of times and a few things can get out of wack. The delegate will become the only one that visits this site and can be the only one that gets pumped about "our" goals or missions. I would like to see this site very active, where all members have a voice. Plus: If the committee's only goal is to decide which server will be visited each week, that can easily be accomplished by a set schedule.
Either way I'm confident will work out good, because of the great group that is congregating here.

I can see both sides, I don't know how it would work without having a delegate, my concern would be that the biggest clans get the biggest voice. However I agree with HL in that we need to ensure that the model used encompasses other clan members and they all have a voice and inclusion.
Not sure how we can do this?

"Tactical tuesday" We like the name
Clans must be active and visit other servers, I agree with that and we start 3 weeks ago on a saturday afternoon we go play somewhere else or we are hosting.... our members are making invitation to other clan and I'm scheduling it on COD2 or COD4
For sure limited to modded servers
As for the delegate I agree with highlonesome..

Here might be a solution to the delegate issue. Why not just put up a set rotation of servers? This would cure the where do we go this week. And I agree with the clan not active remove the servers from rotation. However, I feel that may need to go a step farther. If the true desire of these boards is to grow the tactical gaming community. Then you may want to add activity to this site as well. As far as days go I like the Tuesday as the main reason for this is to get public players on the servers. Might run into a problem on Saturdays of the clans filling the server and not leaving open spots for the public players to join. Another idea for this would be to get 2-3 players max from each group as to make sure there is room for the public players.

:-*I would not be opposed to getting a NRNG server just for these nights, I would also be willing to donate to it, although I cannot speak fit the clan, this may also provide a server for the other initiative I was asking about, ladder matches..

my two cents....
We should focus on getting the exisiting servers some traffic. We have a couple new clans that I would like to see get traffic before we consider opening a seperate NRNG server.
I do not want to see a large clan, like the 509th, dictate what will be and what will not be. Thats why I am suggesting a committee to handle things. But I feel that each clan interested in being here will have to participate in some way. At the same time I think there should be spokespeople for each clan to keep the posts down. If every member of the clan posts about a decision or vote it can really slow things down.
[EU] joined up today and I am emailed DAK Rommel today.
ok that was more like 10 cents

Stop me if i do mistake (i m not sure to anderstand all you said !! ) - Reserved 1 day /week (why not tuesday as you say) : OK without problem. - Clan must visit others : OK at 100/100 Here you can stop me !! loool - Open an RNGN server : I m not sure it is good idea. We are a (young) community. Community is same idea but with other way to do applied it. Each clan have his own rules and philosophy. Difficult to choose what is good and what is wrong on each server. we must adapt to the style of each one and especialy we must make live our own server first. Last thing I don't see my mates pay for an other server.(French saying : "Money is the nerve of war" - i used translator to write this !! lool) For me this community is a good way to organise individual war and why not ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIP. I think, we can't live without other tactical clan. Here just my opinion, if i have andestand all you said lool.

HL We got rid of the "Ambassador" tag over at that other Tactical Community site, since that system stopped working. That being said, I don't think that it's Jazz's intention to legislate what is or is not tactical at all with the group of delegates. It would be just to decide on a workable calendar of events that works for every group involved. I'm still a little confused as to why all of this couldn't have occurred at the TRC, but I guess I must be naive. I just wish I hadn't wasted so much time and energy on trying to create something that nobody wanted...or I thought they didn't want, but it would appear that they do...I'm not sure anymore. Anyway...I digress...

Hi Jester
I wish things would have worked out over at TRC. Without naming names I am just going to say that our style, crouch clans, is not favored at the TRC forums by certain people. I, along with others, grew tired of reading this over and over. Everyone has a right to their opinions. I believe in "we can agree to disagree". I don't feel that is the case with these people.
I have no bad feelings towrds TRC, but I felt this was the direction that had to be taken for our style of gaming. The 509th will continue to rent servers and have a link for TRC on our website. Great servers and prices.
Jazz
And now back to our regular scheduled programming......

IMHO - start with weekly server visits with a host each week and go from there. For the North American clans a future goal maybe a joint dedicated server in the middle of the continent (Chicago - St Louis). we did that with BF2/2142 with another clan and we partitioned it and it worked great. Each clan loaded the server per its slot allocation - its was a 100 slot server with three different games on it. Not sure what is the limit on server size (slots). Anyway its just a future goal if the community likes the idea. We were a small clan (different clan - not LooL) and it really helped built it up. Plus the performance on a dedicated server was great. One more thing - would like to know the pings from the European clans to the NA servers so we can set the ping limits to include them.

baddad, as you see tonight my own ping on th sever was under 170 and 200 (usually 190) - but i m only 2M ADSL. and wifi connection. So i think the ping can down 150-190 with good connect. I m from France (Corsica island) (In past, We fighted against 509th on our COD2 server. We thought to win this match with better ping, but no . They won on our earth. Grrrrrr. - I hate them for this - - So the ping is not important if you are good player !! lool ;D )
